Brunvoll has delivered their first BruCon DP2 system on board the Stril Mar. The installation and sea trials went very well and the project was delivered on time.
Høglund replaced the existing power management system (PMS) and integrated the PMS to the existing Kongsberg IAS system. Kongsberg upgraded the blackout prevention system as well as the thruster control system.
Seam had the overall project responsibility as well as delivering the hybrid solution. They delivered a complete container with control systems and batteries from Covrus.
Seam and Westcon are experienced in hybrid conversions which helped deliver the projecton time. We expect this will also be the case when we move forward with our next project Stril Server which is set to dock at Westcon Yards Ølen with Seam as the project lead in mid-February.
Stril Mar is a modern high-spec PSV delivered from Astilleros Gondan in 2016. The vessel is currently on a contract with Equinor.
